Your bedroom, in sync

CpapDash in Siri and Apple Home today, and soon in Alexa and Google Home. How to set each one up, and what you can say and build. Placeholder copy until Albin's.

Works today

Siri and Apple Home

Nothing to link. A Shortcuts automation listens for CpapDash notifications and runs a Home scene.

How to set it up

  1. 1In CpapDash, open Automations and turn on a recipe with "Notify my phone".
  2. 2In the Shortcuts app, make a personal automation: when you get a notification from CpapDash that contains "night started".
  3. 3Have it run a Home scene.

Words you can listen for

  • night started
  • night ended
  • leak
  • snoring
  • restless night
  • cleaning due

The same words in every language.

Alexa

Ask CpapDash about your nights by voice, and start your routines from its sensors. Being tested, not available yet.

How it will work

  1. 1In the Alexa app, enable the CpapDash skill.
  2. 2Link your CpapDash account.
  3. 3Ask away, and pick a CpapDash sensor as the trigger of a routine.

What you can say

  • "Alexa, ask CpapDash how was last night."
  • "Alexa, ask CpapDash what was my AHI."
  • "Alexa, tell CpapDash I cleaned my mask."

Sensors for your routines

  • Therapy
  • Mask
  • Leak
  • Snoring
  • Night ready
  • Cleaning due

Ask about your AHI, mask leak, hours of use, or how this week compares. In the US.

Coming soon

Google Home

CpapDash shows up in your Google Home as a few simple sensors, so your automations can start when your night does. Being tested, not available yet.

How it will work

  1. 1In the Google Home app, add CpapDash and sign in with your CpapDash account.
  2. 2Your CpapDash sensors show up in your home.
  3. 3Use one as the starter of an automation.

Sensors for your automations

  • Therapy
  • Mask
  • Leak
  • Snoring
  • Night ready
  • Cleaning due

The CpapDash sensors

What Alexa and Google Home see, each one simply on or off.

  • TherapyOn while therapy runs.
  • MaskOn while the mask is on.
  • LeakOn while the mask leaks.
  • SnoringOn while you snore.
  • Night readyOn when your night arrives, off at the next therapy.
  • Cleaning dueOn when your mask is due a wash.

Night ready works on every account and with every source, once the night arrives. Therapy, Mask, Leak and Snoring move as the night happens, so they need a live source, a Sleep Bridge, and Pro.

Routine ideas

Wind down

When Therapy turns on: lights off and Do Not Disturb on.

Good morning

When Night ready turns on: open the blinds and have a speaker read your night.

Night light

When Mask turns off in the middle of the night: a dim hall light.

Mask refit

When Leak turns on: a gentle lamp, nothing loud.

Time to wash

When Cleaning due turns on: a speaker reminds you in the evening.

Automations, not alarms: CpapDash passes on what your machine recorded, and nothing here is a monitor.
